Jonathan Lee has been actively collecting and studying aquatic macroinvertebrates in northern California since 1983. He was an original member of the California Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Laboratory network (CAMLnet) and is an active member of CAMLnet's current morph, SAFIT. Jon Lee Consulting has processed samples from throughout California. Clients include many private businesses; federal, state and county government agencies; tribal EPA's, and citizen monitoring groups.
Any macroinvertebrate taxonomist should be able to identify a well preserved, late instar specimen. The tough specimens to key are generally damaged, early instars, or from samples which haven't been adequately preserved. With over 20 years of BMI sample processing experience, Jon Lee Consulting has learned the ins and outs of determining specimens to the target taxonomic level, including specimens in very poor condition.
